The Hoop Harness is the BEST basketball training system that I have ever used!
I love this thing!
Two thumbs up for the Hoop Harness. Simple, easy to use, effective. I am a better player for having used it.
I am an AAU coach and I start every practice with my team running laps counter clockwise with the Hoop Harness on while dribbling and it accomplishes a few things: Places emphasis on the importance of ambidextrous ball handling by starting with the drill and doing it at EVERY practice. To me that is the key: Consistency The booklet that comes with the Harness explains how to run the first drill and one important aspect is to have the players not round the corners. I have even placed cones along the long sides of the court so as they dribble along they weave in and out. I also knock off some end of practice sprints if the players are able to dribble the Hoop Harness drill without mistake—not too often but they are improving. If a player shoots a layup with the wrong arm I pull them out of the game, discuss it with them and then reinsert them. Note: Watch how many pros don’t use their left hand on driving layups—a lot! I tell my team “It is all in the details.” Fine tune your game by taking care of the seemingly insignificant because when you crossover that guy and go strong to the hole the left hand is no longer insignificant. We love it.
